Our Approach
We pioneered an efficient yet scalable way to deliver impact consistently for our clients. All while reducing the risk and cost of unsuccessful products.
Cross-functional
We build better products through our cross-functional approach
Business
We know that successful products need to serve the business and bring first hand insights from various industries to the table and a network of leading VC funds to spot product trends for our clients.
Design
We’ll dive deep to understand your problem - taking a holistic approach and incorporating users/customers and experts into our process to create elaborate products and services that users love.
Tech
We are tech agnostic, working with technology that fits the problem – not the other way round. From scalable software to scrappy prototypes, we adapt to what is needed.
You
We prefer to work in integrated teams with our clients - but can also work independently. Together we build a capability for lasting change.
Work together. Win together.

Our Process
The MVP Factory Process – four proven steps for building great products
After four years and building over 200 products we developed our systematic MVP approach, allowing our clients to ideate, validate, launch and scale digital products and ventures at scale.
Following lean and agile methodologies – delivering business impact at start-up speed. All while significantly reducing project risk.
Depending where you are and what pre-work you have already done we either follow all steps or only pick the suitable ones:
1. Understand & Explore
We start by understanding the problem you want to solve or the market you want to capture and define what impact you hope to achieve. If you approach us with a concrete product idea we will challenge it together - if not, we facilitate ideation and provide our external view.
We will provide in-depth market, peer and user research.
Outcome & Impact
- New digital business model, idea or service (or prioritized portfolio thereof)
- Actionable market insights on technologies and peers
- Product strategy including cost/benefit analysis
Activities
- Problem & product definition
- Market & peer research
- Ideation & design thinking
- User research
- Business model canvas
- Feature hypothesis mapping
- First tech assessment
2. Design and Validate
Hypotheses emerging from Step 1 are validated with the help of a preto-/ or prototyping using quantitative and qualitative research methods. The concrete results obtained from this help to understand whether the basic assumptions for the business case work, whether the user need exists, and to answer questions about the technical framework.
Outcome & Impact
- Validated product concept, personas and value proposition
- Validated high-fidelity, interactive prototypes
- Defined product success metrics (and - if applicable - a business model)
Activities
- Product Mapping
- Customer Journeys & Flows
- Interaction design
- (Rapid) Prototyping
- User research & testing
- Qualitative & quantitative validation
- Landing page tests
- Business validation
3. Scope
The goal of the scoping phase is to have a good and aligned understanding of the product scope to be built. We will fill and estimate the backlog, we will plan the technical architecture including security and deployment and make sure everything is ready for development.
Outcome & Impact
- Product Backlog (Epics and User Stories)
- Technical Architecture, Stack, Tooling and Security
- Implementation Plan and Timeline
Activities
- Technical architecture
- Tech stack & tooling selection
- Backlog estimation
- Product security design
- Deployment & testing plan
- License management
- DevOps strategy
4. Build & Launch
Based on the outcome of the scoping phase, we will develop a digital product or MVP. Typically we timebox this to ca. 3 months to ensure we get to market quickly, to obtain real user data to validate the critical assumptions of the product. We do this using agile methodologies like SCRUM or Kanban to additionally ensure as much user feedback as early as possible.
Outcome & Impact
- Fully tested, secure and deployed digital product
- Prototype, MVP or scalable product
- Technical documentation
Activities
- Agile development
- SCRUM management
- Environments set-up
- Manual & automated testing
- Analytics & BI implementation
- Technical documentation
- Post-launch optimization
Further Possibilities
Scale
Post launch we can stay onboard and continue to develop the product based on data and user feedback, and provide scaling support through online marketing, growth hacking, HR and operations.
Maintain
We can provide technical maintenance and ensure the product runs and scales smoothly. Various SLA levels possible.
Handover
If you wish to insource further development and maintenance of the product, we conduct a coached handover and onboard your team.
Methods
How we deliver
Tech driven
We are not just building tech for our clients but also for ourselves: Our proprietary platform allows us to manage projects at scale. Our clients benefit from data-based planning resulting in high accuracy and consistent delivery.
Lean, senior Teams
The best digital products and ventures are created by hands-on and cross-functional teams of experts. Our liquid workforce allow us to always staff people with experience in the given vertical - and to keep teams lean.
Entrepreneurial
We are not consultants who now also “do digital” but entrepreneurs who now also “consult”. We found successful start-ups and are continuing to regularly do start-up work, too. We leverage this experience in our projects.
Speed & efficiency
Headquartered in Berlin, our international and diverse team combined with our liquid workforce allows us to take on a global perspective while researching or building. To date we launched products in over 14 different countries.
End-to-End
We take ownership of the whole product life cycle - from idea to launch and beyond. By doing that we avoid misalignment and delays that frequently happen when working with multiple vendors.
User-focused
User research, testing and validation happen in every phase of our process to ensure that we are building products that serve an actual need - minimizing our client’s risk of unsuccessful launches and bad investments.
KPI & impact focused
Together with our clients we define success metrics for every product we build to provide an objective basis for both feature prioritizations and investment decisions along the process.
Global perspectives
When planning we think in weeks not years. Our liquid workforce and elastic staffing approach allow us to staff teams within 2 weeks. For our clients this means low ramp-up times and access to expert support when needed.
