The Challenge
Insurers worldwide are increasingly creating value by using digital tools and technology. However, much of the potential value— and the most significant opportunities for making digital a competitive advantage— remain untapped. Thus the Emil co-founders saw an opportunity to launch a car insurance powered by advanced telematics.
Their business model was rapidly validated and an initial angel investment raised in no time. While still facing the usual difficulties recruiting the right in-house tech team for the job, they approached MVP Factory to kick-start the development in order to launch a robust and scalable tech platform in time for closing their partner insurance.
Solution
In their ambitions to create a mobile-first car insurance they contacted MVP Factory. Various feasibility studies of the in-car hardware devices were conducted and the required REST APIs developed to ensure robust connection of the solution. Simultaneously a dedicated UI/UX team refined Emil’s branding and adjusted designs on the go to accommodate user feedback.
...
MVP Factory completed the initially planned software architecture on time and set up a continuous testing environment to ensure full stability of the service.
Emil’s internal tech team was subsequently on-boarded to the project by working side by side with the MVPF team for two sprints to ensure a smooth handover. MVPF still maintains an advisory role for software architecture decisions.
